Last Saturday we spent the night on the beach around a campfire. Aside from being a bit breezy in the wee hours of the morning it was a lot of fun sleeping under the stars, and I think Eliot slept better there than he does at home! Here's Eliot and I on the beach at sunrise:

Eliot has learned to climb! These last few days he has been very pleased with himself and his ability to scale the livingroom furniture. This morning he climbed up on our wooden bench and looked at himself in the mirror that hangs across the livingroom... he kept waving his arms and moving around, and his little giggles made everyone in the house smile:

Jessa, Eliot and I went out to Grandma and Grandpa Miller's house in Lynden for a yardsale today. Eliot's Auntie McKinzie, Uncle Micah and cousin Drew came up from Seattle as well. Later in the day, after the yardsale, Eliot and his cousin Drew got to run through the sprinkler! They laughed and "RAWWRR-ed" to no end. Eventually it was time to dry off, and Auntie McKinzie snapped a picture of the two boys wrapped in a towel on the front steps together:

Jimmy caught eliot with his finger in his mouth. I'm too tired this morning to think of a clever caption for this, but I'm sure it deserves one. Any ideas? Leave a comment below...

Jenni and Joel came to visit us over the weekend. We showed them some of our favorite places around Bellingham (but there are so many more left to see...) and we watched some fireworks on the beach. Here's some pictures Jenni took:

Last week we went down to Lake Padden on summer solstice, the longest day of the year, and got wet. We got to see how much moisture Eliot's diaper could hold... hehe.
